International social listening and brand reputation analysis
Define platforms, languages, keywords, human review and delivery scope for brand, PR and research teams. Follow the assessment steps to choose project planning, data API access or private deployment.
Lingli Intelligence · Updated October 12, 2026
International conversations span platforms, languages and time periods. Using public and authorized data, Lingli helps define monitoring scope, analysis topics and delivery methods so meaningful changes enter your research process.
Define what you will monitor
Actionable requirements identify brand and product names, common aliases, countries or regions, content languages and business questions. For example, which experiences users discuss after a launch, or which topics appear in public coverage of an event.
Platform coverage should match the target audience and access conditions. Assess each platform's data scope and update method separately rather than treating all platforms as directly comparable.
Make trends traceable
Discussion counts can reveal changes, but specific judgments require reviewing the content. Link source URLs, content timestamps and search criteria to analysis results, retaining the context reviewers need.
Sentiment and topic analysis help with filtering. Allow human corrections and explanation for sarcasm, quotations, multilingual expressions and namesake mismatches.
Match delivery to the workflow
| Workflow stage | Topics to discuss |
|---|---|
| Routine monitoring | Topics, scope, update frequency and changes of interest |
| Event research | Time range, event keywords, propagation evidence and verification methods |
| Risk assessment | Trigger conditions, recipients, review process and handling records |
| Periodic reporting | Evidence, sample scope, coverage gaps and follow-up monitoring |
Alert channels, frequency, historical scope and delivery format are subject to the agreed plan.
Choose a path that fits your team's work
If your team needs to discuss monitoring topics, analysis workflows, reports and how results will be used, start with the monitoring plan on this page. Go beyond which data you want to see: identify who will use it and what decisions it should support, so scope and delivery requirements can be confirmed.
If you have a development team and mainly need data for your own systems, start with the Lingli data API quick start to check specific endpoints and access conditions. For deployment in a chosen cloud or your own environment, use the private deployment guide to discuss networks, permissions and maintenance responsibilities. These paths can be combined during planning, but each scope must be confirmed separately.
Turn initial needs into verifiable inputs
The following is a planning worksheet, not a delivered project case study. Mark unresolved items as pending confirmation and identify who will verify them.
| Planning step | What to prepare | What both parties need to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Define the question | A business question, the team using the results and the intended action | Whether the results can support that decision |
| Define scope | Brand aliases, platforms, languages, time windows and the basis for use | Actual availability and unresolved items |
| Plan review | How important findings trace to sources and who resolves ambiguity | Traceable records, classification guidance and review responsibilities |
| Agree delivery | Recipients, use cases, update needs and retention requirements | Deliverables, exception explanations and acceptance methods |
If you have not prepared keywords, start with Brand monitoring keyword worksheet. This defines what to monitor; it does not mean all relevant platform content can be obtained.
Questions before you start
Can you guarantee finding every relevant discussion?
Public information coverage depends on platform policies, available APIs, search criteria and content availability. The plan must state its coverage and gaps; it cannot promise complete discovery.
Can sentiment analysis be treated as a business conclusion?
Sentiment labels are clues for analysis. Important judgments require original text, context and human review, particularly to distinguish a user's own statements from reported content.
How do we start the conversation?
Prepare monitoring subjects, platforms and languages, key questions, user teams and delivery requirements. If requirements are not complete, start with one specific research question.
