Private deployment of data and social listening systems: scope, access and acceptance
Before private deployment, verify business scope, network conditions, role permissions, backups and handover responsibilities. Use the requirements and acceptance checklists to discuss deployment and integration with Lingli.
Lingli Intelligence · Updated October 12, 2026
Lingli helps plan private and customized deployments. We discuss integration, permissions and operational responsibilities in your environment based on data access, analysis and storage requirements.
Your environment defines the implementation scope
Cloud resources, on-premises servers and internal networks have different connectivity, identity and maintenance requirements. Before deployment, specify which systems may reach the internet, where data must remain, and who may access, export and maintain it.
External data access remains subject to platform policies and authorization terms. Installing a system in your own environment does not grant additional data access rights.
Start the assessment with a requirements worksheet
| Item | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Business objectives | Which teams use monitoring, research, alerts or data services |
| Data scope | Platforms, languages, topics, historical scope and planned retention |
| Update requirements | Acceptable update frequency, operating hours and task priorities |
| Network environment | Cloud, on-premises data center or internal network, access boundaries and connectivity limits |
| Identity and access | User roles, organizational scope and integration with existing identity systems |
| Output and integrations | BI, messaging, internal platforms or other receiving systems |
| Operational handover | Operational owners, backup needs, upgrade windows and incident contacts |
Assess hardware, capacity, concurrency, timelines and costs after defining this scope. Without these inputs, a standard configuration may not match the actual workload.
Include acceptance criteria in the plan
Acceptance should cover workflows, permissions, data scope, error handling, backup recovery and operational handover. Define test inputs, expected outcomes, retained evidence and the person responsible for approval.
Capacity and performance acceptance must use an agreed workload. Demo animations, charts and illustrative data are not performance measurements.
Confirm network and operational responsibilities early
Deployment usually involves business, development and infrastructure owners. Clear responsibilities help reveal missing inputs during assessment. The following are suggested discussion items; actual responsibilities depend on the agreement between both parties.
| Item | Suggested reviewers | Records to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Business and data scope | Business owners and data-use owners | Monitoring goals, available sources, retention and use boundaries |
| Network and identity integration | Network, security or IT owners | Reachable systems, identity methods, access approvals and restrictions |
| Business system integration | Development and target-system owners | Input/output contracts, error handling and integration test scope |
| Backup and recovery | Operations owners and business approvers | Backup targets, storage locations, recovery steps and drill requirements |
| Updates and handover | Operations and delivery teams | Maintenance windows, contact procedures, operating instructions and acceptance records |
Do not provide server passwords or business API keys during an initial inquiry. Start with the environment type, access boundaries and unresolved questions. Handle necessary configuration later through an agreed secure process.
Deployment FAQs
Does private deployment provide access to more platform data?
Deployment location and data access conditions must be confirmed separately. Source availability, platform rules and project authorization still apply. Installation on an internal network does not mean external data can continue updating while completely offline.
Do we need the full system if we only need data access?
If your existing system already provides storage, visualization and analysis, use the API quick start to assess data integration. If your main concern is monitoring workflows and analytical deliverables, return to the international social listening plan to define the business scope before discussing deployment.
Can you provide a standard server configuration and timeline first?
First confirm workload, update targets, retention, integrations and maintenance conditions. These provide the basis for resource and implementation estimates. This page explains preparation; specific configurations and delivery arrangements must be confirmed in the plan.

Fill in the known requirements and mark what still needs internal confirmation. We will use them to discuss deployment, API integration and delivery boundaries.
